When I was looking around for more information on the MSI MEGA line, I discovered by chance (a saved eBay search pulling a listing) that there was a MEGA 915. The 915 looks very similar to the 865 Pro, and it may have released at or around the same year. It was difficult to find information on this model because there also exists a MEGA mPC 915, which is a completely different class of machine. It was hard enough to know about the 865 Pro as the 865 exists and is also a wholly separate machine.

But also in my searching I came across the Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo C, a computer that suspiciously sits in the same class of machine as the MSI MEGA series. My suspicions were not baseless either, because it turns out the Scaleo C is just a rebadged MEGA 915.

Now, I knew that before MSI became the mainstream gaming hardware manufacturer that it is today, they were an ODM and OEM for larger companies. MSI would sell their designs to companies that wanted them, and the companies would throw their logo on it, make some changes if they see fit, and then send them out. Discovering the Scaleo C was a rebadged MEGA 915 shouldn't have surprised me. And it didn't. However, this discovery also indicated something to me: there may be other rebadged MEGA machines out there that may be lost to time and the internet.

I don't know why this genre of computers fascinates me, but I feel like I need to do more digging and bring forth as much as I can on these odd stereo PCs. The journey continues on.
