Office 2008 was the first version of Office for Mac that supported the new Office XML format natively, and it is also the last version of Office for Mac to ship to PowerPC. And that makes no sense, really. Office 2011 supports Leopard, so why was it Intel only? Like, if you wanted to support Leopard you could've at least given us that. Hell, shipping Office 2011 to PowerPC would've even given us a little more hope for having an email client that is actually functional with modern email in Outlook 2011. But nooooo. Microsoft had to make Office 2011 Intel only, as if PowerBook holdouts didn't exist anymore in 2010. This would have been a nonissue if Office 2011 required Snow Leopard. This would have been a nonissue if Office 2011 was PowerPC-compatible. But this isn't Hannah Montana, this is the worst of both worlds-- an app, a pretty major one at that, supporting only Intel Leopard. What a joke.
